Homestay message
We (Pam and Sebastian) have a residence in Kelvin Grove very close (5 mins) walk to QUT campus and a 6 min ride on bus to city. Travel to UQ is by bus with express interchage which takes around 23 minutes. We have clean, comfortable furnished rooms available for students 18 years+ and provide self serve breakfast, hot meal once a day and self serve light lunch (noodles/sandwich/snack/salads) weekends and school holidays. We charge $8 per week for internet access. Our home is close to everything and in a very quiet, private location with a nice garden and city views, sundeck and barbecue area. We have one cat which comes into the house sometimes during the day but not overnight. We do not smoke and are not heavy drinkers. We are both from European background and have been in Australia for many years. We both work so our students have plenty of quiet time to study. No children living at home, all grown up. We have been doing homestay for 3 years and made many friends along the way. We enjoy travelling and meeting people from all over the world. Pam is happy to assist students with their English. Unfortunately we are unable to provide Halal Food due to our own dietary requirements. Our meals are of high quality using only fresh produce.
